JUSTIN KUTCHER

Justin Kutcher is currently a host and play-by-play announcer for FOX, calling college football primarily.

Before joining FOX, he spent the previous three years broadcasting for ESPN, working as a play-by-play announcer for several sports (football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, hockey, and soccer). Justin has also worked at ESPN as a studio anchor and host for several different events.

During his time at ESPN, Justin has run the gamut, calling everything from high school football and basketball to the NCAA Big East Basketball Tournament and NBA regular season games. He has also been one of the primary voices for ESPN’s college baseball coverage, broadcasting both the Regionals and Super Regionals, as well as the softball Super Regionals for the last three years. In addition, he has been the voice of the Under Armour High School All-America Football Game for the past two years, as well as the voice for the NCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championships.

Prior to joining ESPN, Justin worked for the Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network (Formerly CBS College Sports), and NCAA Productions as both a play-by-play announcer and studio host. Additionally, Justin was a regular contributor on MLB.com, where he hosted the Daily Rewind, a nightly highlight show. At the same time, he also served as the primary anchor for MLB.com’s Post Season Live program during the 2008 Postseason. In August 2008, Justin also hosted a nationally syndicated Olympic recap show for Westwood One Radio, which aired nightly.

Previously, Justin spent four years broadcasting minor league baseball at both the Double-A and Triple-A levels. He also called the World Softball Championships (an Olympic qualifying event) in 2006 from Beijing, China, for the International Softball Federation. From 2000 to 2006, Justin freelanced as a statistician for FOX Sports, working the playoffs and World Series as a special assistant to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Additionally, Justin spent time broadcasting Minor League Soccer for the Portland Timbers.

Justin is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communications, where he was the Sports Director of the student-run radio station, WTBU, for two years. In addition to being the station’s Sports Director, he was also the voice of the women’s basketball team, and hosted two weekly sports-talk shows. Justin’s breakthrough television appearance came at the age of 12, when he was a contestant on “Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?”

Justin grew up in Fairfield, CT and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
